EXECUTIVE CONTROL IS NOT A THEORY
It emerged from decades of seeing the consequences play out.
Throughout my career, colleagues, customers, suppliers and senior leaders recognised the same qualities in my work.
I brought clarity to complexity, connected strategy with operational reality, and saw patterns others overlooked.
I understood these as leadership capabilities.
Until I recognised what connected them.
I was seeing the system producing organisational performance.
Not just the result, but what produced it. What it depended on. What had to happen for performance to continue.
That perspective was recognised beyond the organisations I worked in.
In 2025, I received the Supply Chain Partnership Award at the Women in Air Cargo Awards in Copenhagen, recognising my contribution to the industry.
THE SAME PATTERN KEPT APPEARING.
Across organisations, ownership models and leadership teams, I saw the same disconnect.
Organisations invested in transformation. Redesigned structures. Introduced new ways of working.
Yet the expected improvements often failed to materialise.
Not necessarily because the strategy was wrong or people resisted change.
But because decisions were being made about the organisation executives could see, without fully understanding the operational system on which its performance depended.
The formal structure told one story. The reality of how the business delivered told another.
And that difference mattered most when leaders expected the business to change, scale or deliver more.
THAT REALISATION BECAME EXECUTIVE CONTROL.
Executives cannot make well grounded decisions about future value without understanding what the business can actually deliver, and what that depends on.
Executive Control exists to make that operating reality visible before consequential decisions are made.
Not to implement another programme. Not to add another layer of reporting.
To provide independent judgement, grounded in operational reality, when the stakes are high.
BEFORE THE NEXT DECISION
If you recognise this disconnect in your own organisation, I would welcome a conversation.
A confidential conversation. No pitch. No obligation.
